A journey of a thousand mile starts with a single step, and in 2009, we would like to begin the new year with a new resolution, new vibe, and starting a blog for our humble class in Jakarta.
As a bit of an introduction, my name is Bramono Lunardi, and I am one of the instructors in Synergy Jiu Jitsu in Setiabudi, Jakarta alongside I Made Deddy Wigraha. I started martial arts journey in 1999 as a Tae Kwon Do stylist in Australia, in which I have competed and won in various state and national level tournaments in Australia, such as the Australian University Games
In June 2002, I began studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) under the tutelage of Robert Williams of Ground Zero Jiu Jitsu in Melbourne, and continued my journey with Synergy Jiu Jitsu under the guidance of Niko Han and Nicolai Holt, in which I was awarded a blue belt by Niko Han on August 2008.
It is also at this time, Nicolai decided to leave to London while Deddy and I took over as instructors in Setiabudi. As instructors, we strive to be different and provide more resources to our members, in and out of the class, to improve their skills, and it is my goal that from this humble beginning, the class blog will become a useful learning tool for the members of our class.
